Dear friends,
The group En dynamei (En dynamei Ensemble) organizes and invites you to a open discussion in the framework of the PASS project, which focuses on research, creation and promotion of accessible performances combining music and performing arts for people with sensory and cognitive disabilities. The project is part of the Creative Europe programme and aims to strengthen the participation of artists with disabilities in the performing arts sector.
The debate will take place at January 29, 2025, at 18:30 p.m., at the ISON Dance Theatre , 33 Melenikou Street, 104 47, Athens (tel. 21 3041 1546), and will focus on documenting the barriers and challenges faced by people with disabilities, as well as producers and directors, during the creation and presentation of accessible performances.
En dynamei participates as a partner organisation in the project PASS (Let'sPASS!), and you can find more information in the attached file.
During our meeting at ISON, we will examine:
- The barriers faced by people with disabilities in accessing performances and artistic activities, either as an audience or as artists.
- The problems and challenges that producers, directors and other professionals may face in implementing accessible performances.
- Strategies and solutions to overcome these barriers and develop accessible artistic content.
- The findings of the PASS project so far, regarding strategies for the implementation of accessible performances
Aiming for inclusive participation, the space is fully accessible, while there is the possibility for parallel interpretation to and from Greek sign language during the discussion. In case this is necessary, please let us know before 20 January.
