The phenomenal team back in Athens

Η group "In Power" after their triumphant march with the Horses in love, both in Greece and abroad, is coming back to Athens with the SURVIVORS directed by Eleni Efthymiou and artistic direction Eleni Demopoulou From 14 June 2024 on only ten performances on the Main Stage of the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus.

The performance

What is sleep, what is death and why did we call them brothers and sisters? How often do we reflect on our constant acrobatics between dream and reality and between death and life? When do we open our windows to face our fears and our deepest desires? Are we all "sleepwalkers"? And, if so, where are we headed? Will we ever wake up?

After many years of experience in creating performances that have the power to transform the personal into the collective, the En Dynami group chooses once again to ask questions that we usually avoid. In this period of extreme individualization, when life is constantly being prolonged, when radical changes are taking place in the idea of death that even affect the very structure of society, we bend over the triptych of death-sleep-dream, not in order to find the right answers, but to let go of the unknown and the association, to disentangle fear and, by uniting it with our dreams and our mystical thoughts, to return death to its necessary place: in life.

The "In Power" group is a group of young artists with and without disabilities. It was founded by Eleni Demopoulou and Maria Ioannidou in 2008 in Thessaloniki, in order to support and facilitate its members' equal integration into society. All the actions of the group are developed not on the basis of diversity, but taking into account the internal and external needs as well as the predispositions, inclinations and interests of all members of the group. Through the almost daily coexistence of the members of the "En Dynami" group and the establishment of commonly accepted rules of living together, the improvement of the interpersonal relations of the group members as well as the cultivation and development of individual skills of all members is achieved, contributing to the successful integration into the wider social environment. Having as its main tool the research of new communication methods, the group organizes and produces integrated artistic proposals in the field of visual arts, theatre, music and visual arts. It is in permanent collaboration with renowned artists from different fields of art and actively participates in events and festivals in Greece and abroad. The artistic director of the group "En Dynami" is Eleni Demopoulou. The group is based in Thessaloniki.
