An exhibition of photographs by NEKTIS ARABATZI on the theme of people with Down syndrome, which is held in the framework of the celebration of the World Down Syndrome Day and in honour of people with Down syndrome by the "ELIACHIDA" association in collaboration with the creative group En δυνάμει.
On the opening day (11/04/2014, at 20:00) there will be speeches by Thouli Misirloglou, art historian and curator of exhibitions and collections of the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art, Nectis Arabatzi, director and actress Eleni Efthymiou, as well as Eleni Demopoulou, artistic director of the theatre group "En δυνάμει".
On Saturday (12/04/2014, 11:30-14:00), mixed art workshops will be held by the creative group "En δυνάμει", for children with or without disabilities, from 5 years old and above.
These workshops can also be attended by adults.
Entrance will be free but there will be a first come, first served basis (information - reservations: Association "ELIAHTIDA", tel. 210 6713949 and 6938450507).
The association "SUNSHINE" was founded in 1996 on the initiative of the couple Michalis and Ioli Antonopoulou, with the support of other parents, friends and scientists. It is a non-profit association, which aims to inform and support parents and people with Down syndrome, to care for their integration into society, to identify and assert their rights and to inform and inform public opinion.
