Entitled "IN POWER", the new creative documentary by the internationally acclaimed Greek-Iranian director Siamak Etemadi is in the final phase of shooting and is expected to be completed in October 2025.
The film is produced in co-production with the Greek Film Centre and the Creative Greece – National Agency for Audiovisual Media and Communication (E.K.KO.M.E.D.), with the support of the Film Office of the Region of Central Macedonia.
The documentary offers a deeply personal chronicle of the journey of “En Dynamei”, a unique collective of artists with and without disabilities, who in recent years have created groundbreaking artistic work in Greece and abroad. The director’s camera follows the group from the summer of 2022, capturing in real time their rehearsals, performances, behind-the-scenes moments, residencies, art camps, and everyday life.
With sensitivity and immediacy, the film highlights the transformative power of artistic creation and explores themes of community, coexistence, accessibility, and the ongoing personal growth of its members. The city of Thessaloniki is not merely a backdrop, but an active protagonist - a space of action and inspiration.
In its final production phase, the documentary is enriched with a series of dreamlike, cinematically staged sequences, serving as connective tissue between the characters, performances, the group’s history, and the film’s central themes.
With deep respect for the community it portrays, and aiming for a sincere, resonant, and aesthetically rich cinematic experience, the documentary aspires to open a space for dialogue on what it means to create art within the context of collectivity, co-creation, and disability.
